About Us
A Bookshop Wasn't the Plan
I've always been a reader. The kind who gets completely lost in a fantasy series and immediately starts thinking about who else needs to read it. I loved wandering bookstores, but I never really believed I'd own one someday.
It Started with Blind Dates
Before there was a bookstore, there were Blind Dates with a Book. Wrapping books by hand and matching readers with stories became one of my favorite things to do. Watching people take a chance on a book they may have never picked for themselves reminded me why reading is so special.
Those blind dates became the foundation for everything The Book Treehouse has become.
Opening the Doors
The Book Treehouse found its home inside The Common Ground Warehouse in Medina, Ohio. I wanted it to feel like more than a place to buy books. I wanted it to be warm, welcoming, and full of little surprises around every corner.
Today you'll find thouhtfully selected books, bookish gifts, local authors, communite events, and plenty of cozy corners that celebrate a love or reading.
More Than Books
The Book Treehouse isn't just about selling books. It's about building a community of readers who get excited to recommend a favorite novel, celebrate a new release, or discover something unexpected.
Whether you're shopping online or stopping by the store, I'm so glad you're here.
The Book Treehouse was built by a reader, but it belongs to a community of readers.
