What is the Adult Book Fair?
It’s a throwback to the Scholastic book fairs we loved as kids, but made for adults. Browse hundreds of titles, meet authors, shop witchy and bookish vendors, enjoy food and drinks, and support a local cat rescue, all in one nostalgic, book-filled day.
What and where is the Common Ground?
The Common Ground is a creative warehouse space that houses shops, food, and community events. The address is 220 N State Rd, Medina, OH 44256.
When is the event?
Friday, October 17 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Is the event accessible?
Yes. There are two ramps for entry and designated handicap parking.
Can I bring kids?
Yes. While the event is designed with adults in mind, it is family-friendly and kids are welcome. Please note that there may be adult-themed vendors and books available. We are not responsible for your children seeing adult-themed items.
Can I bring pets?
The Warehouse is a leashed pet friendly warehouse! However, there will be increased foot traffic and a lot of book lovers expected at this event. Please use your own discretion on whether or not its appropriate to bring your pet.
Can I dress up?
Absolutely! Get into the Halloween spirit! We ask that you keep your costumes respectful of those around you. There may be children in attendance and the warehouse stores will be open to the public during the Book Fair.
What kinds of books will be there?
A wide mix of genres including romance, fantasy, thrillers, nonfiction, and more. There will be something for every kind of reader.
Are the books new or used?
All books are new.
How will the books be priced?
All book prices are set by the publisher and are printed on the back of the book or inside the cover. There will also be a table of discounted books, priced as marked.
Will there be other things besides books?
Yes. You’ll find witchy bookish vendors, raffles, food, and a cat rescue on-site. There will also be author signings and cozy reading areas.
What food and beverage will be available?
Dilly's Sandwich Factory (inside Pickleback's, the bar)
Cherry Top Cookie Shop (bakery in the warehouse)
The Grind (coffee shop inside the warehouse)

How do I pay for my purchases?
Vendor shopping: pay vendors directly. Most accept cash, card, or digital payments.
Book Fair books: pay at central checkout, which will be clearly marked. Cash, cards, and Venmo will be accepted.
There is no ATM located inside the warehouse, please come prepared with cash or card!
Can I bring alcohol into the Book Fair?
Only alcohol purchased at Pickleback's is permitted. It must stay within the designated Beer Garden area of the warehouse, which will be clearly marked.
Will there be spaces to sit?
Yes. There will be cozy reading nooks, photo opportunities, and sitting areas throughout the warehouse.
What about raffles?
We’re running a Warehouse Passport raffle. Visit warehouse businesses and make a few purchases to get your passport stamped. Once it’s full, drop it off for a chance to win prizes.
